摘要：The present invention relates to a process for preparing water-soluble and

dispersed iron oxide (FeO) nanoparticles and application thereof, characterized in whichtwo-stage additions of protective agent and chemical co-precipitation are employed inthe process. In the first stage, FeOnanoparticles are obtained using absorbent-reactantcoexistence technology. In the second stage, proper amount of adherent is added tocover the nanoparticle surface entirely. The resulting water-soluble and dispersedFeOnanoparticles can easily bind with thiols or biomolecules, such as nucleic acid andpeptide. The FeOnanoparticles of the present invention may be used as magneticresonance imaging contrast agent and used in magnetic guiding related biomoleculartechnologies for clinical testing, diagnosis and treatment.
