摘要：A wire rope is provided having a central core strand about which are woundouter strands. Non-linear spacer wires are present in the gaps between outer strands toassure the uniformity of such gaps and provide passageways from the interior to theexterior of the wire rope. A coating, usually of a suitable thermoplastic, is extruded intosuch rope to extend continuously from the core and between adjacent outer strands andthrough the passageways.
